What is Summit Park?

A 130-acre city park on the land of the old Blue Ash airport, and the reason a lot of people ask for Blue Ash by name. It has an observation tower, a performance pavilion, restaurants, open lawns and a winter ice rink, and it hosts the city's big summer events, including Red, White and Blue Ash on the Fourth of July.

Which school district is a Blue Ash address in?

Most of Blue Ash is in Sycamore Community Schools; a western part is in Princeton City Schools. The county even taxes the two parts differently. Check the exact address with the Hamilton County Auditor, and compare districts on the Ohio School Report Card.

What kinds of homes are in Blue Ash?

Single-family houses from the 1950s through the 1980s, plus more condos and townhomes than you might expect. About 28% of Blue Ash homes are in larger buildings, which gives condo buyers real choices, but association fees here can run higher than in other suburbs, so compare the monthly cost, not just the price. Older houses on good lots are starting to be torn down and rebuilt, the way Montgomery's were.

Is Blue Ash good for getting to work?

Blue Ash is a job center itself. The city's largest employers include Ethicon, Kroger, Charter Communications, Belcan and Procter & Gamble, and UC Blue Ash College is here. Kenwood Towne Centre is a few minutes south, and downtown Cincinnati is about 25 minutes on I-71 without traffic.

What are the taxes in Blue Ash?

A 1.25% city income tax, and property tax of about $1,517 a year per $100,000 of value for an owner-occupied home in the Sycamore part of the city. The Princeton part runs about $1,755. If Blue Ash is over budget, Sycamore Township next door has no income tax where you live.
