- Lebanon Warren County A historic downtown of its own, Shaker Run, and more house for the money than Mason.
Northeast suburbs
- Sycamore Township Hamilton County Kenwood and its neighbors: 20 minutes to downtown, no income tax where you live, six school districts.
- Blue Ash Hamilton County Summit Park, a big job center, and Sycamore schools for most addresses.
- Montgomery Hamilton County A historic downtown, mostly single-family houses, and a lot of rebuilding on older lots.
- Loveland Hamilton, Clermont and Warren counties A river town on the Little Miami trail, a downtown you can walk, and homes in three counties.
- Reading Hamilton County A walkable old downtown with the Bridal District, central to I-75 and the Cross County, at lower prices.
East of the city
- Milford Clermont and Hamilton counties A river town with a walkable Main Street on the Little Miami trail, and Miami Township around it.
- Batavia Clermont County The Clermont County seat: a small Main Street, bigger yards around it, and East Fork State Park nearby.
- Amelia Clermont County Ohio Pike near Eastgate: no village anymore, no local income tax, newer homes and West Clermont schools.
